2026 ROBOT-TEST COMPARISON

Comparisons / Titleist

Pro V1 vs Pro V1x

Start with Pro V1 for a softer feel and a more controlled window. Start with Pro V1x when you need more height, iron spin and stopping power.

THE QUICK DECISION

Choose by the flight you need.

Model names do not decide fit. Start with the differences that solve a problem in your game.

01 · DRIVER

Speed and flight

At 100 mph, Pro V1x carried 3.1 yards farther and peaked 6.8 feet higher, while Pro V1 produced 139 rpm less driver spin. The difference is a flight-window choice, not a simple fast-versus-slow decision.

02 · APPROACH

Spin and stopping

Pro V1x generated 359 rpm more 7-iron spin in the test. That can help shots hold firm greens, but players who already create plenty of spin may prefer the calmer Pro V1 window.

03 · SCORING

Wedge and feel

Pro V1x also produced more spin in the 35-yard wedge test. Feel remains personal: Pro V1 is the softer sensation, while Pro V1x has the firmer click many players associate with speed.

Use the same course, clubs and shot sequence. A fair head-to-head tells you more than switching balls randomly.

COMMON FITTING QUESTIONS

Before you choose.

Which is longer, Pro V1 or Pro V1x?

At the 100-mph robot speed, Pro V1x carried 260.1 yards. The gap was 3.1 yards, so launch and dispersion should still influence the decision.

Which ball produced more 7-iron spin?

Pro V1x produced 6,500 rpm of 7-iron spin, 359 rpm more than the other model in this test.

Should swing speed decide between them?

No. Swing speed selects the closest test bracket, but your launch, spin, apex, descent angle, dispersion and feel preference determine which profile is more useful.

What is the best way to test the two balls?

Play both from the green backward: chips and putts first, then a repeatable wedge and mid-iron shot, and finally the driver. Choose the ball that improves your most important shot without creating a new problem elsewhere.
